24th September 2021
Firstly I just want to thank all our families for your continued supports in these very difficult times. All our procedures and guidance are provided to us by Public Health and the e-mail I sent out on Tuesday hopefully is very useful for you all to refer too.
Please remain vigilant and if your child presents with any of the 3 main symptoms – please keep your child at home and take them for a PCR Test (Lateral flow test will not be accepted) – please inform Scallywags straight away and send results to email@example.com – Even over the weekend this must be reported to us as a Positive result may have an impact on Scallywags – Thank you for your support.
The main symptoms of COVID-19 are:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot, for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
- a loss or change to sense of smell or taste – this means they cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Waterproof pants/jackets need to be worn every morning as it is really wet outside even on the sunniest days – if your child attends in the afternoons please pop their waterproof pants/jackets in their bags everyday as our weather changes very quickly. (with clear labelling)
Please remember if your child comes in wellies in the morning that they will need indoor shoes popping in their bags – Thank-you
Please can I ask that your child’s lunch box is labelled on the outside, we encourage the children to open their own lunch boxes – Also can you remove stickers/ labels that have another siblings name on ( we have new staff here at Scallywags so this will be very helpful).
Also please make sure that large grapes are cut in quarters and not just in half – these can be a choking hazard
Clothing – ( Job for the Weekend)
We have lots of clothing with no names - over the weekend can you please pop your child’s name in – jumpers – cardigans – hoodies – jackets – waterproofs – hats and gloves if possible – also Wellies
Thank you for your support
Bags – All children’s bags should have a name on the outside – drinking bottles should be labelled clearly (we have lots of children with the same items and some with allergies) so this is extremely important.
I have started to add some pictures this week, more to follow each week. I hope you enjoy what your children are getting up too.
