We have loved our Halloween Theme this week thank you Tracy and Carol, the children have loved exploring and investigating.
Scallywags AGM will be held at Scallywags Pre-school on Friday 10th November at 3.30pm everyone welcome, please see attached notice.
Our Policies have been up dated – These can be seen in our policy folder in the conservatory. Copies can be printed on request – 6 new policies regarding Data Protection – Information sharing – Provider records – Working in partnership with other agencies - Children records – Confidentiality and client access to records – Transfer of records to school.
Late Payment Fee – Update
Please note that if payment is not made within 10 days of the payment date given on this invoice (usually the 15th of the month) a late payment fee of £15 will be payable. If payment is still not received by the date of the following month’s invoice, a further payment of £15 will be payable, and £15 per invoice thereafter. Please be aware that late payments create significant extra work for the volunteer parent who prepares the invoices and collects fees. If you are having difficulty paying, please speak to Susan as soon as possible.
Scallywags follows guidance from the Health Protection Agency – regarding infection control within nursery. This enables us to protect the children in our care and the staff. Please follow these instructions, Sickness and Diarrhoea – The child must remain at home for 48hours after the last episode occurred. Fever- If you need to give Calpol to keep a fever down, please keep your child at home until recovered – This is to protect vulnerable children.

· Independence – encouraging putting coat-shoes-wellies on and off.
Half term starts today Friday 20th October at 3.15 and we return Monday 30th October 9.00am.

With a look ahead to November, thanks to all newcomers preparing to join our Voluntary Management Committee at the AGM and take us forward in ensuring Scallywags remains so special. If you are interested in being part of what makes us so unique as a Charity-based based organisation, please get in touch - We are a friendly bunch! With committee changes underway - and plenty of other goings on - We have decided to take a year off from organising the village Hallowe'en “Spooktacular” event.
We do have plenty of spooky Hallowe'en goings on planned for next week, including – Halloween Dressing up Week – Halloween Biscuits – mixing potions.
